The PowerShot A1100 IS includes full movie mode with sound in an entry-level camera. Choice of 640x480 or reduced-size 320x240 movie resolution, all at 30 fps for smooth recording of any movement.
The 640x480 setting gives great detail for video clips to be viewed on televisions, or played-back in presentations. 320x240 gives a smaller file that’s easier to send via e-mail and/or use within an internet site.
Long Play
Long Play Option
Instead of slowing down to 15 fps at full resolution, the new Long Play option preserves full 640x480 pixel resolution, at a smooth 30 fps. Available movie recording time is doubled in the LP setting — with a 4GB memory card, it’s possible to continuously record up to an hour of video, without interruption.
