Speedlite 600EX-RT & Speedlite Transmitter ST-E3-RT

Improved Flash Reliability

Weather Sealing
  • The excellent physical quality and durability of the new Speedlite 600EX-RT propel this model to the top-of-the-line in terms of industry standards for weather-resistance.
  • Extensive networks of durable gaskets and seals located around the seams, joints, and buttons prevent moisture and dust from entering the unit.

Hot shoe dust wipe mechanism
  • The Flash “foot” continues to be metal, for added strength.
  • The five flash contact-points are now shaped as sharper points.
    • When the locking collar is turned toward its LOCK position, the contacts and their plate actually move forward and back slightly to “scrape” any dirt or corrosion from the camera’s metal hot shoe contacts.
      • This helps to minimize any risk of erratic firing from a bad shoe-to-foot contact.
  • Flash “foot” continues to have integrated rubber shroud protecting it.
  • Ensures extensive moisture protection of hot shoe contacts — especially if exposed to rain.
  • Some high-end competitive flashes require an additional accessory to ensure weather-resistant mounting to the camera.
