They can easily edit out red eye, crop the photo or edit the video, make a print it, without ever stepping into a camera shop or near a dark room.

Not only have digital imaging technology changed how customers take and share pictures, digital cameras and digital camcorders themselves are significantly different from their predecessors, which recorded images to film. Film cameras store pictures on film and rely on a chemical process to develop that film into a photograph that can be displayed or shared by making more print copies.
