Top Freezer
The most basic refrigerator style has long been one of the most popular. It features a freezer on top, refrigerator space on bottom. It's:

  • Inexpensive
  • Popular
  • Can be difficult for children or short adults to reach items in the freezer.
  • Requires a wide space for doors to fully open.

Bottom Freezer
Similar in design to the Top Freezer, the Bottom Freezer flips the refrigerator on top and puts the freezer on bottom. The freezer is either opened with a swinging door or a drawer. It's:

  • Economical
  • Easier-to-reach fresh food in the refrigerator than with a top-freezer model, which requires users to bend and dig around.
  • Needs a wide kitchen space for doors to fully open.
