Welcome to the Wi-Fi module, where we'll cover the basics of Wi-Fi.

Wi-Fi, which stands for Wireless Fidelity, refers to a wireless network that allows customers to connect mobile and portable devices to the Internet without cables. Customers can set up wireless networks in their home to connect multiple devices to the Internet through their home network. When away from home, they can connect tablet PCs, laptops, mobile phones and other portable devices to the Internet through Wi-Fi networks at coffee shops, libraries, airports, city parks and other public places.

At the end of this training, you will be able to:
  • Explain what Wi-Fi is and how it works.
  • List the range of products that have Wi-Fi capabilities.
  • Describe to customers why they might want Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
